Chris

Once upon a time, a cycling enthusiast had a vision of a bicycle shop unlike any other on Long Island. May be not slick or flashy or trendy but a place where new riders and seasoned aficionados could be exposed to the principals of proper fit and technique and training. A place where people could stop by and learn about the nuances of the different types of steels and alloys used to construct frames and components. A place where customers could drop by to discuss the past weekend’s ride over cappuccinos. A member of the Stony Brook University Cycling Team when it was one of the top ranked squads in collegiate cycling, Chris graduated on a pre med track that has helped him develop a rare insight into the human physiology/bicycle interface. He is a founding member of the East End Cycling Team and an Empire State Games medalist. After working for other bike shops here on Long Island and in New England, he returned to his home town in 1988 to open the Kreb Cycle. Passionate about his sport and his community he has become the Island’s most active bicycle race promoter, a youth soccer coach, and a volunteer in the local middle school. This while bringing to life his vision of what a cycling shop could be, minus a cappuccino machine.
